Blushing Brides need Pink in their Lives!

Blushing Brides need Pink in their Lives!

‘My colours are blush and bashful!’ said Julia Roberts about her wedding in her role in Steel Magnolias (p.s. brilliant movie – a must watch!).

Well, blush is definitely back in for 2019, although maybe leave ‘Bashful’ at the door for now! Blush pink has always bee n a popular choice for brides, but this colour is making a big comeback this year on the runway as well as in cosmetics, interior décor and wedding themes.

As we were pulling together our recent Blushing Neutrals edit at Homebody Décor Towers, we couldn’t help but comment, how perfect some of our new products would be for wedding décor. Light pink feathers adorning tea light holders and beautiful pink and white vases, would be perfect for displaying hints of this colour throughout your day.

With its warm and welcoming tone, blush pink is the perfect wedding colour scheme, particularly for spring or summer weddings. Whether you’re after a dainty traditional vintage-style affair or instead aiming for a chic, contemporary fete, pink is a timeless classic that keeps romance at the forefront of your special day.

Although a delicate colour, it must be used in moderation. Too much blush and it could end up being a little too ‘bashful’ for your guests (let alone your groom!). So, mindful planning of where to inject this colour is important.

In interiors, we are talking a lot about blush being paired with greys and neutrals for an understated, but sophisticated theme. A little blush can make a big difference to plain rooms and I believe that the same can be said for wedding themes!

For many brides, table and reception room dressing is just as important as the bridesmaids dresses and is an opportunity to personalise your day and style. From favours, to floristry decoration and candles, these are important considerations. Continuing your blush colour theme throughout these areas will create a soft, yet stunning look.

Recently we have been privileged to help out a professional party planner with table décor for a wedding reception and due to this we are now offering a sourcing service.

So, if that table or room décor item is eluding you, let us know your theme, style and we can send you a selection of items that we think would fit perfectly into your day. No obligation, just an easy way to create a distinctive style without the hassle of trawling the internet!
