I came across this article today on the BBC news and it resonated with me so much so I thought I would share with you all. :)
The small shops in battle with the retail giants - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54873418
We all know how important lock downs are for the country's health, unfortunately they aren't so good for the health of small businesses like ourselves.
We have suffered at the hands of COVID-19 like a lot of other businesses around the country whilst large retail outlets have benefitted enormously from it as they have been deemed 'essential'.
Although we are currently an online entity and don't have the same 'bricks and mortar' problems as Joh in this article, we still suffered under scrutiny due to longer lead times for items and courier delays / breakages etc.
Like Joh (business owner featured in the article), I hope and believe that people are now beginning to understand that shopping locally and through small businesses actually have so many more wonderful benefits.
We may be online but we want to offer more of a personalised service. We always try to speak to our customers if there are any problems. We also offer a 'sourcing' service should we not stock the item that you are looking for so you can drop us an email and we will do our best to find it for you. If we can't find the exact one we can make suggestions as to what else might work in your interiors.
Although customers can't unfortunately have an 'Amazon Prime' next day delivery from us (at the moment!) we do make every effort to ensure that you are completely satisfied with everything you purchase from us and hopefully also a service that makes you smile at the end of it.
'Shop Local, Shop Small' this Christmas and reap the benefits of buying from a person and not an algorithm!
